Are modular sofas the same as sectional sofas?
Yes, modular and sectional sofas are the same thing. ‘Sectional sofas’ tends to be a term used more in the USA, but both refer to a sofa created from putting together individual units to your specification.
How do modular sofas work?
At The Lounge Co., our modular sofas come as individual units that you can tailor to fit your room. The units are firmly held together on the underside by ‘crocodile clips’ which keep the sofa in place and stop the pieces from sliding apart.
Should I buy a modular sofa?
Our modular sofa ranges, Lola and Imogen, are among our best-sellers. They are a great choice if access to your lounge is difficult, and you wouldn’t be able to get a fully-made sofa in place. They’re also a good idea if you are thinking about up or downsizing in the future. Because of their nature, you can add or take away units to suit your needs and can always purchase extra units in the future.
Are modular sofas customisable?
Absolutely! As with all of our sofas, you can tailor our modular ranges to suit you. We offer a choice of over 120 fabrics and our Lola range is also available in leather. There is also the option to choose from three wood colours for the legs, or chrome for our Imogen range. Modular sofas really are the most customisable option when it comes to choosing a sofa, as you can specify the fabric, legs and choose the units to make the exact sofa you want, that will fit your room perfectly.
